Hand-drawn Studies
Introduction
Frame-by-frame animation is where I first learned the soul of motion—mastering the delicate mechanics of timing, anticipation, and squash-and-stretch. These foundational principles still guide my design work today. This series captures four personal, hand-drawn explorations inspired by ordinary, everyday moments.
Process
Using an iPad and Procreate allowed for a highly tactile, immediate workflow. By stripping away complex technical software layers, I could focus entirely on raw motion design principles, experiment freely, and let the organic rhythm of the animation take center stage.

Conclusion
To preserve an authentic, hand-drawn aesthetic, I intentionally left the linework unrefined and embraced rough, textured brushes. This is a collection of raw, playful glimpses into the everyday—from a friend’s baby enjoying a rice bowl to runners pacing a marathon.
